Naked egg

We did a little experiment over spring break. You place an egg in a cup full of vinegar for 24 hours and the shell will dissolve. I didn't get a picture of the shell completely gone but the kids loved watching the shell dissolve and get softer. We changed the vinegar once, possibly twice since I found a vinegar soaked rag in the laundry basket.
