B: Mom, my really great idea failed.
ME: Oh, honey I'm sorry. What were your trying to do?
B: I was trying to build a swimming pool and I can not get the sides to stay up. I am really sad now.
ME: A swimming pool? With what?
B: Cardboard and glue.
