Day 7-10

Day 7 & 8

Friday and Saturday were spent cleaning the house at Bear lake,

re-rolling our clothes to strategically fit into our backpacks, traveling

back to Saratoga Springs, laundry, packing again, and another

drive to Vegas to end our trip.

Oh and swimming. This spring fed pool overlooks Utah lake. 

The water runs about 80ish degrees and the security

is tighter then Fort Knox.  They take there HOA

seriously here!  

Day 9 Hoover Dam & ATV's

This was a very unexpected treat for Scott. We stayed

with Mary, a dear family friend, for the last leg of our 

trip. John was excited to take Scott up to the open

air and see the Hoover Dam. Scott was a little kid in a 

candy store when John asked him if he wanted to fly.  Scott took

the yoke and it was him and the freedom of flying 

that this man craves. 

Welcome everyone. I am your dam guide, Arnie. Now I'm about to take you through a fully functional power plant, so please, no one wander off the dam tour and please take all the dam pictures you want. Now are there any dam questions? 

 Yeah, where can I get some damn bait?

*Vegas Vacation*

Mary and John have chickens on the property, so collecting eggs

was probably the highlight of the trip for the kids.  It got even 

better when Mary let them crack some open and fry

them in the Vegas sun. I'm telling ya, it's the small

things that make kids happy.

The little kid in Scott came out for the second time

in one day.  This is now on Scott's wish list, along 

with the pilots license, and an airplane to go

with it of course. 

Not sure what Olivia thought. I'm sure she was 

throwing the "stink eye" at someone.

Braden's eyes were like saucers after the first spin. He

loved it.

Day 10 Going home

What an adventure, traveling with carry on luggage only
to avoid the fees. 30 plus hours in the car with 4 kids.
Vegas, Kolab canyon, NEVADA, extreme heat, ARIZONA, family, Stewart falls, 
hiking, UTAH,  Bear lake, raspberry shakes, Old Ephraim pizza, 
WYOMING, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Old Faithful, bison, 
elk, geysers, MONTANA, Snake river, lots of amazing scenery, 
IDAHO, slow  driving(we love you Jim), swimming, flying,
Hoover dam, 4 wheeling, more driving, Meredeth, family and 
flying home.  We had an adventure to remember and
look forward to doing it again. Thanks again to 
Jim and Debbie for transporting, housing and putting 
up with our family of 6.
